Hopping Across the Pond… Viridity to Present at 5th Power & Cooling for Data Centres Conference

Mike Rowan, Co-Founder and CTO of Viridity Software, is taking his show on the road once again.  This time, he is hopping across the pond and presenting, “The Future of Data Center Energy Resource Management (ERM)” at BroadGroup's 5th Power and Cooling for Data Centres Conference taking place later this week in London (Mike Rowan to present: October 7, 4:40 p.m. - 5:40 p.m.).

Attendees of Mike’s presentation will learn:

  • Why current energy resource management (ERM) methodologies that focus on how power is delivered to the data center are missing the mark; and why the future will be dedicated to understanding why it is being consumed.
  • Why data center management needs ERM solutions that enable them to tie their applications to the specific IT equipment that supports them (solutions that include modeling, mapping, and business criticality analysis will be highlighted).
  • How proper energy resource monitoring and management can dramatically impact both operational and capital expenses (real world case study examples will be used to show how to balance power, cooling, and utilization in order to save money, enhance service levels, and dramatically extend the life of their data center and its assets).
